Rants about food supplements

Dear readers,

Every year, the summer slump is filled with agitation about dietary supplements. This year, an observational study(to the study) involving almost 400,000 people is making headlines: Multivitamins are said to increase mortality by 4%.

However, the authors themselves admit numerous weaknesses: Which multivitamins? That was neither asked nor differentiated. Distortions such as the sick-user effect cannot be ruled out either. After all, people who feel ill or have recently received a diagnosis are more likely to take multivitamins. Due to the methods used, observational studies can at best prove an association, but not causality.

My personal opinion? A more beautiful confirmation for “Therapy with System” and our company philosophy would hardly be possible! Because the use of micronutrients and amino acids requires know-how, should be adapted to the indication, in effective dosages and accompanied by experts. This applies to therapy and prevention.
