From a chemical point of view, bioactive collagen peptides are a mixture of specific peptides of different lengths with a high proportion of hydroxyproline, glycine and proline. These protein fragments have a length of two to 20 amino acids per molecule. Did you know that larger peptides can also be absorbed intact from the gastrointestinal tract and enter the systemic bloodstream? This is achieved through direct penetration of the cell membrane, endocytosis or diffusion between cells via tight junctions. The collagen peptides we use have been shown in clinical studies to have a long-lasting effect on skin elasticity and wrinkle reduction. The effect is already visible after eight weeks and continues for several weeks after discontinuation.
